This little pet pie (Hermione) is starting to answer to her name.

Considering that she’s 21 months old & exhibited all the signs, we all thought she was stone-deaf.

1. He's a Labrador, so he likes food. 

2. He enjoys sniffaris, so afterwards he wants more food. 

3. He sleeps at night with 2 cats in the family room, so he dreams of food. 

4. He knows that 5am is time to wake up, so he expects food for breakfast. 

5. He loved puppy pre-school because someone was always giving him food. 

6. He continues to be Mama's good boy, so that he can get more food rewards. 

7. He's is a male, so he can afford more food. 

8. He lets his cat sisters & the grandkids climb all over him - anything to get food! 

9. Harry's real name is Henry Bullwinkle Davies - he eats to forget. 

10. Harry simply likes to eat!

 Harry update: he’s doing well.

It’ll be sad, but a relief when it’s his time to go. Right now though, he’s more bouncy than he has been in months! 😁 The vet says that apart from the pneumonia he’s avery healthy dog.

Harry’s Health

Here’s Harry caught having his morning nap. He’s as cute as a button even if he’s as old as the hills.

The vet gave him a clean bill of health, yesterday. The pneumonia has resolved and he is in fabulous nick - good heart, lungs, no abnormal lumps & bumps - even his walking has come good.

Fortunately, the most expensive dog I have ever owned paid for some of his vet bills by siring many puppies during his youth!

Lucy was nuts about fetching stuff. Harry, by contrast, has never been interested. 

Lucy was a show girl Labrador Retriever. Harry is a working dog Labrador. Having said that, he’d have brought the duck home as a new friend rather than as dinner. 

A visit to Maryborough for Patrick’s Birthday

I’ve made it to Maryborough, my home town during the teenage years, and now where my second born lives with family!

The littlies (grandkids from Maryborough & Gympie) are cooling off at Anzac park and Ululah Lagoon. Oh yeah! 

We had a 35°C humid day.

It’s a beautiful park with old, old trees and a kids’ waterpark. 

The park is surrounded by old Queenslander houses.
